The Madeleine was created in 1755, when the king of Poland ask his cook Madeleine to make an original cake. That cake had such a success that it became the original sponge cake, the Madeleine. The Madeleine has since become a must-have. Eaten as a snack with friends, or dipped in a bowl of milk, the Madeleine is always a delight for young and old alike.
